So, I knew my mom was going to get me something Trek related for Christmas because she had a ton of Trek related searches on her pc. But I did not expect this!



I am so beyond excited that it's impossible to accurately describe. I'm sure my  mom has some humorous pictures of me unwrapping this bad ass gift. I will not be sharing those.

And it's supposed to continue to snow until 6am. I am scheduled to work tomorrow from 6-3pm. Sunday is not a day when roads are normally cleared regularly. I had trouble getting out of the driveway 5 hours ago! In conclusion, I hate winter. *sad face*

I'm about to start an instrumental piece (my achilles heel) for Trek. I'm pretty sure it will kick my ass but whatever. I need to vid something so bad!

I got my hair layered today. It was all one length and flat and oh so dreary. I couldn't take it anymore. I think it looks very cute now. You know, with actual style. heh.

I bought Band of Brothers for my mom's boyfriend for Christmas. I don't know why. I wasn't going to get him anything at all because I'm broke but he helped me out a tremendous amount last year. Despite how annoying I find him, he has never refused to lend a hand when I needed it. So, he's getting BoB for Christmas. Alternatively, this also means that in a few months I will have new source footage to vid around with. 8D

Today, while googling on my mom's pc, there was this random screen from Amazon.com that she had open that I minimized without thinking about and never once even glanced at. Turns out that it listed what my mom bought me for Christmas. She called me in a panic to see if I had read it. She sounded so disappointed. Well, so was I! There it was for me to discover and I didn't even GLANCE AT IT! WTF?!

Saturday is my only day off this week. I have to work 9 hours on Sunday. Oh, also the following Sunday. We get Christmas and New Year's off but we are still working a full 40 hours around it. But whatev! It means I get paid for 48 hours when I only work 40. Yay money!

It is so freaking cold my icon is for realzies!

I must say, that I quite dislike this month. I've been exhausted through most of it which means that I slept half of it away. I have only written 3k words for nano cause I suck as well. Oh well, it will get done eventually. My bff has thrown down a challenge of 10k words by Christmas. I really need to get on that.

It's turkey day so HAPPY THANKSGIVING YO! I, thankfully, had my dinner last weekend when a friend came down from Michigan. I get to sit on my ass all day and enjoy the quiet as the madness has already come and gone. *smirk* I hope everyone has a wonderful day today.

Also, I just canceled my website. I don't know how long it will linger. The domain name is good until March. I will start uploading things slowly here. I'm not well known enough to have my own journal just for my vids. Seriously. Plus, I'd just post the shit here anyway. Not everything will be uploaded though. I'm culling the crap from what I think are my better vids. So, my AtS and BtVS vids will not be making the cut unless I decide to revamp them later.

Oh dearest internet, how I have missed you. I promise to never, ever, ever let my mean computer separate us again!

So, long, dramatic story short-hard drive failed. Lost everything on my PC. All my bookmarks, icons, a considerable amount of music and ALL MY STAR TREK LINKS!!! I am not happy. I am, however, pleased that it was merely the HD. I've replaced it, reinstalled XP and am now in the process of reinstalling all my programs. What a freaking hassle. I really hope I can find the disks with my copies of Sony Vegas and Photoshop Elements. Oh, they would be such a loss.

Speaking of Sony Vegas, I highly doubt that my Halloween vid will be completed anytime soon. I'm in recovery mode and probably will not have any energy to spare for creativity. *le sigh*

I really need to get to bed. Well, I should. I most likely will not until I can actually find my copy of Vegas. However, I've had to rewrite half this post because I'm leaving out words or starting out saying one thing and finishing with another train of thought. NO COHERENCY! BAH!

So, I've decided to do a vid for Halloween. I really, really want to do this creeptastic idea that I have for the 'Nightmare on Elm Street' series but alas, I don't have the footage. So, instead I'm working on something for TOS. I figure it's gonna be a bitch to vid such a static show, so I'm doing the series as a whole instead of an individual storyline. I hope it works to familiarize myself with the footage as well as the tricks needed to force some semblance of movement. I mean, they don't even run during the RED ALERTS!

So, anyway, this is just a rambly post about what I'm up to. I hope to get this finished in time to post before the holiday. That usually never happens but my fingers are crossed. =)

So, I've been thinking about it and I'm going to close my website. I haven't updated it since January and the program won't even open anymore. I've never really liked working with Yahoo!Sitebuilder. It has way too many bugs and is not at all user friendly. In fact, it's a hater! I'm trying to post a notice there to let everyone know (those few that go there) that it will be closed by the end of the year but it won't let me!

Anyway, the reason for this post is to apologize in advance for the massive spamming that is going to take place. I need to upload all my vids and the few fics I have to lj and dw. This will require individual posts for each item. So, sorry. It will be a nuisance but it should go fairly quickly. I hope to get things uploaded this weekend but we'll see how it goes.

I'm sick. Have been actually since last Friday. It started with stomach pains and digestion problems after eating some incredibly spicy (OMG I SEE DEAD PEOPLE SPICY) General Tso's at my mom's. She was sick as well. Then on Tuesday I had an epic sneezing fit. By Wednesday afternoon my throat was inflamed and I was coughing so bad I was seeing double.

So, called off Thursday because of body aches, light headedness, cough, headache. You know, all that fun fluey stuff. Then last night, feeling better I start getting this ache in my side. This morning I wake up with headache, body ache, slight cough, and a fucking massive kidney infection that is crippling in it's intensity. It hurts to breathe people!

I just want to bang my head off of something to render myself unconscious but my head hurts too much. *pouts* And that fact that I've missed two days of work just pisses me off cause I'm not rich. Hell, I'm not even okay financially. I need that money. I'm gonna have to try and pull off some overtime next week. God, I hope this passes soon.

Sorry for the bitching. I think it's out of my system now.

Just found this gem on Yahoo!news. A Louisiana justice of the peace said he refused to issue a marriage license to an interracial couple out of concern for any children the couple might have. Keith Bardwell, justice of the peace in Tangipahoa Parish, says it is his experience that most interracial marriages do not last long. Full article here.

They should call it Stargate Galactica. That's all I'm saying. I was really less than impressed. It is safe to say I won't be adding this to my weekly viewing schedule. *sigh*

Today was a 4.0 on the suckometer. Last Sunday my car died. Died in that way where the dash lights up like a christmas tree and the gauges go all Linda Blair before flatlining and limping to the side of the road. Not even exaggerating. So, it was decided that it was my alternator and that I would replace it myself to save tons of money. *Insert crazy/nervous/stupid me here*

Anyway, found the part for cheap. Researched the installation. Tracked my battery wires to opposite side of the car to locate the position of said alternator. Found something interesting. My serpentine belt was gone. Now, I've replaced these before and every time my belt fell off in other cars the car died immediately. This car, the one dead in my driveway, drove for 3 days with the battery light on *before* ceasing operations. This is why I never even looked at the belt. Turns out that my car kept running because I have a brand spanking new battery.

So, onto the suckitude. It's a five minute job. I started at 3:30 this afternoon and finished at 8 this evening. Nothing worked right. No access, no maneuverability, wrong tools, no light, blah, blah, blah. I did get it fixed though. I am now coated with grime and my body aches and my fingertips are numb from being pinched, smashed and crushed all damn day. But I am victorious.

I. Am. Fucking. Awesome.

I saw a bumper sticker today that said Palin 2012 and I thought to myself, 'so, that's how it happens'

I was rambling through Walmart on Saturday, getting a few things for dinner, when a detour took me through the dvd section. I wasn't really looking but I saw these combo packs of tv shows. I saw the first season of Bones paired with that Amazing Grace show that's on TNT. The oddness of that duo made me pause and look over the other combo's and that's when I found the holy grail. Seasons 1 & 2 of Roswell, together, for $19.96! I had a little seizure, texted and called every one I know and carried that baby in my hands to the checkout. I was half afraid it would disappear.

Seriously. $19.96. All is right in the world.

How the hell did Life get canceled? Does nobody watch quality tv anymore? The dialogue, writing, acting, everything was spot on and brilliant.

Seriously. What. The. Fuck.

My solution. . . cancel Heroes before it gets any worse and bring Life back.

Well, I'm the last one to get around to posting one of these. It really figures.
