So, I've decided to do a vid for Halloween. I really, really want to do this creeptastic idea that I have for the 'Nightmare on Elm Street' series but alas, I don't have the footage. So, instead I'm working on something for TOS. I figure it's gonna be a bitch to vid such a static show, so I'm doing the series as a whole instead of an individual storyline. I hope it works to familiarize myself with the footage as well as the tricks needed to force some semblance of movement. I mean, they don't even run during the RED ALERTS!

So, anyway, this is just a rambly post about what I'm up to. I hope to get this finished in time to post before the holiday. That usually never happens but my fingers are crossed. =)

Yeah, so, anyway. Vid's done! I am, of course, having rendering problems again. Why can't it ever go right? Why?

So, yeah, back to what I was saying. It's done. It will be posted tomorrow come hell or high water! It's K/S/destiny. Oh yeah. Cause not really with the sexy!times, more with the fated, we're more than we are!times. But still, somewhat sexy with Pinto and all.

And that wraps up my post cause I'm tired and rambly and probably shouldn't be posting at all. =(

I have Vegas open. THERE ARE SCENES ON A TIMELINE!

*gasp*

I haven't even opened the program since February. This is amazing. It's not even a vid I had planned to make. I was smacked with the inspiration stick on my drive home from work today. And now there are scenes!

Not to give too much away, but it's Trek. Reboot. K/S. Sorta. *happy sigh*

Just 5 more episodes 3 episodes to convert finished converting, then I can start my very first TW vid!

Excited does not cover it.

Also, I'm getting I am sick. I can feel it throughout my body. Tight, sore muscles. Heat in my shoulders and neck. Clammy forehead. Chills. Disconnected, floaty feeling. Oh yeah. This weekend is going to be craptastic.

Hello my lovely flist. I'm really hoping you can help me out. Here's the what.

I currently vid using Pinnacle Studio 9. It's an okay program but has a few issues. I can't vid using AVI source footage, it spazz's out when trying to use footage from multiple sources with different ratios and it only has two timelines for vidding, one timeline for titles and two for audio. It's very limiting. On the plus side, it is very user friendly and took no time to learn.

I'm looking to change editors but I don't  know what I should change to. I need to be able to use AVI source, cause it's so much smaller and prettier. It needs to render HQ vids. It needs to have a nice effects package that doesn't cost and arm and a leg, or no extra cost at all. I need to be able to understand the software. I like simplicity. User friendly is good. I want multiple timelines and non-linear editing.

This is for a Windows based OS. Though, I'm about fed up and may end up with a Mac one of these days. But for now, it's XP.

Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated. I'm dying to start a Torchwood vid but I need to reconvert all my eps into MPEG because Pinnacle hates AVI. And yes, I have the patch that is supposed to allow for AVI but it doesn't work. Pinnacle crashes every ten minutes and I can't see the imported files. They appear blacked out. Very aggravating.

Please give me some advice on this. *hugs all*

My muse is a fickle bitch. 

*sigh*

Normally she sweeps in, does her job, then takes a 6 month vacation. It's annoying. Really.

But, I've discovered that she doesn't like to have her hand forced. Since I made her come back early from her little Vay-cay, to make my brilliant HP vid, she's decided to stick around. Changed her flight and everything. This is not a good thing. 

Has she inspired a new Stargate or Supernatural vid? No. Buffy, Angel, Heroes, Bones, Chuck, Psych or even The X-Files? Hells no!

She gave me Jane Austen. 

Jane. 

Fucking. 

Austin.

I just...it's...*blink* 

*sigh*

I should have never tied her up.

I'm vidding. And by vidding I mean a complete 30 seconds in less then an hour. 

It's still rough and will be reworked, but I'm vidding.

So, I woke up to a wonderful surprise this morning. Snow! And not just snow, but freezing tempuratures, roads that refused to thaw and the threat of more snow *and* a wintry mix of rain that means more ice. Yay!  

As you can tell, I'm not at work. The roads were too bad. Mwahahaha!

Anyhoo, I snapped a few pics to show off the wintery bliss. It doesn't look like much but it's only about 7 degrees outside and another storm front is heading our way. All of which gives me time to finish the SPN (not SG1) vid that I started.
